
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
We are pleased to be offering our popular Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course in partnership with Douglas College again at the Coquitlam campus in British Columbia – 1250 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC.
In the course of day-to-day life, we can all too easily become lost in our thoughts or distractions and miss out on what is around us and what is truly important in our lives. Mindfulness is a practice of “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judging”. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, this is an 8-week course that offers guided mindfulness practices to help practitioners reconnect with the present moment. The class will run on Tuesdays from 9:30am – 12pm, May 23 to July 11. Students will have an option to register for an all-day Saturday retreat as well.
