The Charity Challenge

On June 25, 2017, Team Camp Kerry will be participating in the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K and we’d love for you to join us. As a team member, you can take on the Charity Challenge to help us raise some serious cash – cash that will be used to provide bereavement supports to a number of children, youth and families from all over the province of British Columbia this year!

The Scotiabank Charity Challenge provides a unique opportunity for runners and walkers just like you to help make a difference. Every year, dozens of charities participate in this event to broaden awareness about their cause and to compete in their fundraising efforts. We are proud to say that over the past five years, our team has rocked the Challenge and qualified in a couple of the prize categories!

The prize categories include:

  • Official Charity with the largest total dollars raised
    • Includes all online and offline verified donations to Fundraising Runners, Fundraising Teams, and the Charity directly.
  • Official Charity with the largest number of fundraisers
    • Charities must have a minimum of 10 fundraising runners registered. Fundraising runners can be registered in any combination of running events. Only donations made directly to the individual are used in the calculation.
  • Official Charity with the largest average dollars raised per fundraiser
    • Charity must have a minimum of 10 fundraising runners registered. The average dollars raised will be calculated based on individual fundraising runner totals only. Donations made to fundraising teams or the charity will not be included in the calculation.
