One of Lumara’s longest-running programs, this in-person group creates ongoing opportunities for bereaved parents, guardians, and their children to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of grieving as a family. Together, families can share their experiences in a supportive setting and learn strategies that may help them cope with their grief.
All groups are facilitated by experienced therapists and supported by trained volunteers. While the program is family-centered at heart, each meeting includes time for breakout circles, giving adults space to talk with one another while children meet in their own circle to explore expressive arts therapy activities.
This group is specifically for families with children ages six to twelve.
