We know that going through adolescence can be difficult, and even more so for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. A loss can sometimes lead to chronic depression, anxiety, and feelings of isolation. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.

If you are between the ages of thirteen and nineteen and would like an opportunity to connect with peers who understand what you’re going through, attending the Youth Retreat might be one of the most meaningful experiences you’ve had in a long time.

Many past participants tell us that attending a Camp Kerry retreat changed their lives. Some of these youth have stayed connected with one another for more than ten years.

The Youth Retreat, held from May 21 to 25, 2026, includes three nights at Strathcona Park Lodge. Participants will experience canoeing, hiking, and campfires, along with a variety of healing modalities including art therapy, music therapy, peer support groups, and much more.

Bus transportation is provided from the Departure Bay ferry terminal in Nanaimo, BC to the retreat and back.
