The Camp Kerry Society is proud to have Famoso on board as a Corporate Partner this year. In appreciation of all those helping us to make a difference for children and families coping with grief, Famoso will be awarding gift certificates and more to Team Camp Kerry members upon completion of the event!
A message from our Team Captain

Nothing marks the beginning of summer quite like The Scotiabank Charity Challenge 5K and Half Marathon taking place this June 24th. Whether you are doing the Half Marathon from UBC to Stanley Park, or 5K loop from Lost Lagoon to English Bay, this is one of the most scenic tracks in North America.

In the past the Charity Challenge has helped Camp Kerry Society raise a considerable amount of money that plays a vital role in Camp Kerry’s operations. That means more help for more families.

The scenery is spectacular, the energy is electric, and the positivity you will bring to both yourself and Camp Kerry is powerful. We would love for you to lace up and come run, walk, or stroll with us. Your support gives us stride to our step.

Yours in sweat – Dan Hincks,

Team Captain

The Charity Challenge
The Scotiabank Charity Challenge in Vancouver provides a unique opportunity for people just like you to help make a difference through nearly 100 different charitable organizations each year. If you enjoy being active and want to help a great cause this event might just be for you.

On June 24, 2018, Team Camp Kerry will be participating in the Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K and we’d love for you to join us. As a participant, you have the option to walk, wheel or run your way to the finish line in either the 5K event around Stanley Park in Vancouver, or in the Half Marathon, which begins at UBC and finishes at the same locations as the 5K.

As a Camp Kerry Team Member, you will be issued your own customizable fundraising page so that your friends and family members can sponsor you for the run. Every dollar you raise will be counted in the Charity Challenge and go towards much needed bereavement supports for children, youth and families from all over the province of British Columbia.

How to join the team
After you have completed the steps of registration for either the 5K or the Half Marathon log into your Artez account – which you can do by click HERE – to join the team and to customize your personal fundraising page.
Want to Volunteer?
So you want to come out for a few hours to show some support but don’t want to participate in the course. Well, that’s great! We need more people like you and have some ways that you can help including; cheering on our team, volunteering at our information table in Charity Village, welcoming our champions as they pass through the finish line, and more.

If you want help out then we’d love to hear from you. Simply go to the contact us page on our website and email our office!
