Call for Nominations 2019
The Camp Kerry Society’s Board of Directors is calling for nomination of candidates to stand for the Camp Kerry Society Board of Directors. Member engagement is critical to the success of the Society and the Board relies upon your recommendations for strong candidates.
The Board currently consists of 7 members. There are 4 members whose term will expire at the June 2, 2019 Annual General Meeting. The incumbents are eligible to stand for re-election.
The Board is also considering adding 2 additional Board positions. One of these positions will be for a one year term and the other position will be for a two year term.
The Society Bylaws state in part:
A member in good standing may nominate another member in good standing of the Society to become a director by presenting to the Executive Director the name of the nominated individual no later than the deadline indicated. All nominees must be members in good standing of the Society for a minimum of six months at the date of nomination to be eligible to become a director of the society.
In reviewing candidates for Board Membership the Nominations Committee will be considering their background in one or more of the following areas:

The Camp Kerry Society specializes in providing bereavement programs and supports to individuals and families impacted by Serious Illness, Grief and Loss.

NOMINATION OF DIRECTORS
The Board shall arrange for a call for nominations at least three months prior to an annual general meeting, requesting that all nominations be submitted to the Executive Director of the Society at least two months prior to the annual general meeting. A member in good standing may nominate another member in good standing of the Society to become a director by presenting to the Executive Director the name of the nominated individual no later than the deadline indicated. All nominees must be members in good standing of the Society for a minimum of six months at the date of nomination to be eligible to become a director of the society.
