— Camp Kerry Society Presents
Connections: Youth
Oct. 20th – Nov. 24th 2020
Tuesdays online from 4PM – 5:30PM PST, 7PM – 8:30PM EST, 8PM – 9:30PM ATL
What to expect: Each week, participants will be able to choose a new outdoor challenge to complete with someone in their “bubble”. During our weekly virtual meetings, participants will have a chance to share the outcome of their challenge with the group. Through reflection, participants can apply their learnings from nature and the outdoors to help cope with current stressors and grief-related fears/worries. The structured part of the group will last for 1 hour, with the option to stay online for a half hour of informal ‘hang out’ time.
Commitment: Group members are asked to make a commitment to attend all 6 sessions in the series and to notify the facilitator in advance if they are unable to attend.
Who is involved: Registration will be limited to 12 youth participants, register early to reserve your spot. Registration is open to all bereaved youth (13 – 18 years old) from any community. This group will be facilitated by Tara Souch, registered clinical counsellor and outdoor instructor, along with a Camp Kerry Peer Mentor.
