Find Me a Sanctuary: Vancouver Island Workshop
This workshop will explore ways in which music and mindfulness-based self-care practices can:
- Help us to find “still points” of calm in the midst of stressful situations
- Connect us to our heart-centre
- Help us to articulate & express our emotions
- Connect us to the legacies of people who inspire us and give us strength
- Build community
Participation is encouraged for those coping with grief & loss and for those working/volunteering in the helping professions.
Previous experience or training in music or mindfulness techniques is not required to participate in this workshop. However, if you have had a very recent personal loss or a serious illness diagnosis please call our office prior to registering: 604-553-4663
This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Heather Mohan, Registered Clinical Counsellor/Music Therapist along with Aspen Switzer, Accredited Music Therapist/Community Choir Director from the Camp Kerry Society.
A $10 contribution fee is due upon registration. These fees help with our costs and allow such programs continue. For those who are unable to contribute, please contact our office so that we may wave your fee prior to registering
