Holiday Outreach: Vancouver

On December 24th members of our community will be out to offer comfort to those in need on the downtown Eastside of Vancouver by offering their support, some clothing and some food. This tradition was started by Camp Kerry team member, Joshua Dahling, in 1997 and we’re pleased that it still continues to this day.

Most of those who are homeless have been impacted by significant loss – in some cases, it was a loss that ultimately led to homelessness. Part of the Camp Kerry Society’s mission is to offer support to those who are grieving and/or coping with a life-threatening illness and that is why we embrace this outreach each and every year. If you would like to volunteer, or have some contributions to offer (clothing, food, transportation of clothing) then please contact Jaqueline: jhubick9@gmail.com

Note: We are in need of a few drivers that can help transport stuff!

New socks are one of the most needed items, so please, if you have a few minutes you can drop off your donation to Kerry’s Boutique during open hours by December 21st.

Can’t make it? No problem, we encourage you to organize a similar event in your area and tell us about it! Otherwise, make a small donation to Camp Kerry this holiday season with a memo/note – Homeless Outreach!

Date: December 24, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
