The Camp Kerry Society is pleased to announce the launch of our new Reconciliation Circles Program which is being offered in partnership with Douglas College’s Aboriginal Student Services.
These circles provide a compassionate space where adults of any age who are grieving a death can gather and share stories of love, loss, meaning, ongoing connections and legacy.
Circles are led by trained facilitators and incorporate the use of a variety of healing, non-denominational rituals within a talking circle format. Participants are encouraged to bring a “precious object” to share with the group as they wish; something such as a photo, an article of jewelry, memorabilia or clothing, that represents their connection to their loved one.
This is a drop-in program. Pre-registration is not required but participants are asked to arrive on time.
Food and beverages will be provided!
