Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
In the course of day-to-day life, we can all too easily become lost in our thoughts or distractions and miss out on what is around us and what is truly important in our lives. Mindfulness is a practice of “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judging”. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, this is an 8-week course that offers guided mindfulness practices to help practitioners reconnect with the present moment.
This is traditionally a classroom-based course, however courses have presently been moved to online delivery, until the end of 2020. Students are expected to participate in class discussions.
